Urge Mayor Joe Hogsett and the City-County Council to Provide Sanctuary, so no one stands alone.

Indianapolis and other Hoosier towns can make public statements, pass resolutions and strengthen local policies to resist Trump’s efforts to deport immigrants, register Muslims or push stop-and-frisk policing. Teams will:

  1. Meet with City-County Councilors.
  2. Participate in IndyCAN meetings with the Mayor, Sheriff and other public officials being scheduled now.
  3. Provide sanctuary in your church or school. Toolkit now available. For more details, contact sistertracey@indycan.org .

Awaken Neighbors to Stand Together

Now more than ever, we need to organize! House meetings and Congregational assemblies are an important step to pull people out of isolation and into community.  This is not a time to wait and see while our Black, Brown, Muslim, LGBTQ, and others are at risk. We must pull together, take the president-elect at his word, and move to act.
