Indianapolis—The Prophetic Resistance Project, an initiative of faith-based national network People Improving Communities through Organizing (PICO) announced a Prophetic Resistance Summit of over 300 faith leaders and tribal elders to be held Oct. 23-25.

According to the Prophetic Resistance Project website, the summit will be a strategy session that will help faith leaders prepare to "organize their congregations, communities faith networks and federations" during 2018-2021 to "dismantle white supremacy and structural racism in America."

The program will mirror PICO's Theology of Resistance model — Encounter, Disrupt, Reimagine, Act — and will feature keynote addresses by Rabbi Sharon Brous, and the Rev. Traci Blackmon.
